Paul Beard is a Partner and co-founder of McKinley Group, Minnesota’s top ranked executive search firm. He has spent his career dedicated to the highly competitive world of executive search and recruitment.

Beard provides a wide range of counsel and advice to many of Minnesota’s leading companies, specializing in the manufacturing industry with a particular emphasis on consumer packaged goods, durable goods and the industrial sector. His depth of connections in the business community allows him to deliver top quality work time after time.  

Before launching McKinley Group in 2003 with his partners, Beard spent 12 years at Hayden and Associates. At 23, he was the youngest person ever hired by the firm and over the next decade rose quickly through the ranks to become Vice President in charge of running the business.

Along with his partners, Beard has built McKinley Group into a leader in the fields of sales, marketing, information technology, and engineering. Achievements include the creation of a highly specialized consumer products practice group, which places more staff in support of brands such as Target, SuperValu and Best Buy than any other firm in the country. His efforts and expertise have also helped the company gain recognition three times running as one of the Fast 50 companies in Minnesota and score a double listing on the Inc. 5000.

Beard is a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) and has sat on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Association of Personnel Services (MAPS). He is an active volunteer and has served as Chairman for the national non-profit Ducks Unlimited. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family at their lake home in Northwestern Wisconsin as well as hunting and golfing.
