Community Involvement

As Minnesota’s number one executive search firm we feel it is imperative to give back to area communities in a variety of ways. We formed a volunteer committee to help our firm stay on top of opportunities for us to give back.

Casual for a Cause
McKinley employee’s have the option to wear jeans to work on Fridays, but only if they pay $5. The money that is collected on casual Fridays will be donated to various charitable causes in the Twin Cities. Each holiday season, McKinley adopts a couple of local families that are in need. Items are purchased for these families, and they also receive gift cards to grocery stores. We started Casual for a Cause in October, and the money collected from then until mid-December will go towards these gift cards. As of mid-February we have collected over $1,200.

Dress for Success
As part of our volunteer efforts, we started an on-going relationship with the Twin Cities chapter of Dress for Success. To kick-off this new effort, we held a clothing drive in November 2011, with an open house at the end of the drive. Tim Mahoney provided the entertainment for the evening, and over 100 people attended. According to the Twin Cities chapter of Dress for Success, this was their single largest donation ever.

Corporate Volunteerism Council-Twin Cities
In September 2011, McKinley joined the Corporate Volunteerism Council-Twin Cities (CVC-TC) to help us increase our volunteer efforts. We are looking forward to learning best practices from other companies and getting more involved in our community.

MOCA Silent No More 5K/2K
McKinley Group participated in the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) Silent No More 5K/2K on September 10, 2011. We formed a team, Ramblin for Gamlin, in honor of one of our own. For more information about ovarian cancer, visit the MOCA website. Click here to see photos from the event!
